The Accra Metropolitan Assembly has offered a grave for a befitting burial of Samuel Numah, the Ghanaian Times Presidential correspondent, who was killed in an accident when they were travelling back to Accra from Ho after attending an assignment last week. The assembly has also donated 20 cartons of assorted drinks, 50 boxes of mineral water and undisclosed amount of money to the Ghanaian Times Corporation towards the funeral of Nuamah which is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2015. The Mayor of Accra, Dr Alfred Oko Vandepuije disclosed this to the media after he had signed the Book of Condolence at the office of Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday. The Mayor, who was accompanied by officials from the assembly, also paid a visit to the surviving victims at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. The first point of visit was Tamakloe Ward, where Patrick Biddah, of the Enquirer is receiving treatment. From Tamakloe Ward, Dr Vanderpuije also visited Edward Kwabi, the TV3 reporter at Easmon Ward and William Gyentu, Peace FM reporter at the Allied Surgery ward. The Mayor used the opportunity to wish them speedy recovery and assured that the assembly would provide for their medical and other expenses.
