The Chief of Narkwa in the Ekumfi-Essuehyia constituency , Nana Ayiden on behalf of some chiefs in the area and the youth have thrown their support behind Chief Hamilton Nixon Biney, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant in the party's upcoming primaries slated for November 7, 2015. A grassroot man, ardent member of the NDC and a regular �texter� on political talk shows, Chief Biney has already picked his nomination forms to slug it out with the Member of Parliament for Ekumfi-Essuehyia constituency for his seat in parliament. In an interview with Chief Biney to assess his chances he told this paper that people of Ekumfi are solidly behind him particularly the youth because they identify with him due to his good interpersonal relationship and pledged to go all out to ensure that he gets the nod to represent them in Parliament. Chief Biney said his chances are so bright in the contest per his own grounds work and intelligence he has gathered so far before picking his forms and advised his contenders not to see each other as enemies but engage in clean campaigns to make the party more united in the area for victory in the main elections in 2016. He also commended the leadership of the party for expanding the mandate of the electorate, saying it will deepen democracy in the country and help the people to choose their preferred candidate. He advised the youth not to allow themselves to be used for any violent act before, during and after the primaries to safeguard their future. In a separate interview with one influential youth in the area who gave his name as Hammond described Chief Biney as a �down to earth� person who has won the heart of majority of the people in the area including chiefs and opinion leaders hence their decision to throw their weight behind him. He pointed out that Chief Biney is hardworking and enthusiastic; adding that he can bring the needed development Ekumfi has been yearning for all these years to the people and has also been supporting a lot of the youth in the area and have made several donations, especially to the Muslim communities.
