Former Olympique Marseille President, Pape Diouf believes Manchester United could swoop for Andre Ayew next summer and the transfer fee could rise to as much as €100m (One hundred million Euros). In Ghanaian terms, we are talking of an estimated four hundred and fifty million Ghana Cedis (¢450m) by today's exchange rates.

The son of Abedi Pele has taken the English Premier League by storm since arriving at Swansea on a free transfer from Marseille, the Ghana international scoring three goals and two assists in four games. Dede was the overwhelming man-of-the-match last Sunday when he masterminded a comeback 2-1 win for Swansea over record English champions, Manchester United.

Dede headed in the equaliser before setting up Bafetimi Gomis' winner with a candidate for pass of the season as the great Manchester United were brought down to their knees at the Liberty Stadium. This has set Ayew's former boss at Marseille brimming with excitement and expectations after comparing the all-round son of Abedi Pele to new Manchester United recruit, Anthony Martial who signed from Monaco for a staggering £36m.

“Last Sunday, little Andre Ayew beat Manchester United practically all by himself,” Pape Diouf reportedly told RMC. “And I see that this same Manchester club have bought a young 19-year-old from Monaco [Anthony Martial] for almost €80m," the former Marseille chief continued. “Maybe next year, if he continues to play like he is playing, Ayew will be bought for €100m by Manchester United," he added. Diouf however was not sympathetic to Marseille at all for the role they play in Ayew leaving the former France and European champions on a free transfer. “Ayew left Marseille for zero euro.

I looked after him, I was his tutor, he was part of the family and he leaves us like that for zero euro, when Martial is worth €80m," Pape Diouf bemoaned.. “That’s the demonstration of what’s happening these days at Marseille,” he slammed.
