NDC Is United For Victory In 2016 Elections; We Are Not Like NPP - Koku Anyidoho

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, says the unity from the topnotch to the last person in his party is resolute enough to secure victory in the upcoming 2016 elections.

According to him, his ruling party [NDC] is solidified from every angle and the fact that the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissa Arthur picked President Mahama’s nomination forms on his behalf in the midst of some NDC founders is enough to convince Ghanaians that the NDC means business so far as 2016 elections is involve.

Speaking to Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, the host of Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, on whether President Mahama has settled on his Vice President as his choice for the next election, Koku Anyidoho responded that what the Vice President did yesterday was significant to the party’s cause.

“For us, what the Vice President did yesterday was significant; we are united now and we are hoping that we will be united in the future….for now, the party is comfortable and happy with the kind of work the Vice President is doing for the government; NDC is united for victory in 2016 election and we are not like the NPP as its First Vice Chair is being chased by the Police for opening secret account….and their Invisible Force beating up party executives at the Head office”, he recounted.

He however enlightened that NDC has processes for electing a Running Mate and so at the appropriate time the issue of Running Mate will be addressed.

Commenting on the sacked party officials for selling the photocopy Presidential Forms to the NDC activist, George Boateng, Koku Anyidoho says the dismissed officers got what they deserve for flouting the orders of the General Secretary and the status quo of the party.
