Kofi Adams & George Lawson Are Fully Behind MeTheyll Endorse My Form Mahamas Contender

Not everyone in the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] is against George Boateng’s intention to contest President John Dramani Mahama in the party’s November 7, presidential primaries – some national executives of the party are ‘secretly’ behind George Boateng.

This was made public after the NDC’s aspiring presidential candidate, George Boateng voiced out two among the party’s national executives who supports his presidential ambition to unseat President Mahama.

George who might face disqualification for picking up a “fake” Presidential Nomination Form from the party’s Headquarters named the party’s National Organizer and a deputy General Secretary, Kofi Adams and George Lawson respectively to help him sail through filing his nominations – after promising to pick the “original” form on Monday.

He tagged the duo as “Rawlings guys” within the party’s national executives who can manipulate his aim to contest President Mahama.

“Since my issue broke up, several of the Party executives from Vice Chairpersons, through General Secretary to the Communication Officer of the NDC have all said negative things about me; some even claim I’m mad. Have you ever heard Kofi Adams, George Lawson talk about me?

"...I know for sure that they will not publicly insult me as the rest have done. I know I have their support,” he said in an interview with Joy News.

George expressed optimism of unseating the president after insisting that efforts by some party gurus to omit him from the contest will heed to nothing.

Until his presidential ambition – George Boateng still occupy the position as the Youth Organiser of the NDC, Oyarifa Ward Branch – he picked his nomination forms at the party’s national headquarters at Adabraka to signify his readiness for the umbrella family’s presidential primaries scheduled for November 7, 2015.

But now facing some setbacks from his party leadership – His National General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah believes he is a “mad” man who needs urgent mental care.

However, the courageous contender has stated bluntly that – he is not dropping his ambition to contest Ghana’s president - why because – he has the full backing of Kofi Adams and George Lawson.

“If Kofi Adams and Lawson tell me today to step down I will, not Asiedu Nketiah. I have immense respect for these two men. They are Rawlings’ people who are now in leadership position in the party and I admire them for their principled nature. They are the people I will submit to any day and not Asiedu Nketiah,” he said.
