Stan Dogbe, a presidential staffer came under huge flak from a section of the public for manhandling and destroying a recorder belonging to a GBC staff, Yahaya Kwamoah.

The assault is said to have been triggered by the reporter’s decision to allegedly record a ‘private’ conversation between Communications Minister Omane Boamah and Mr Dogbe.

Commenting on the development on ‘News File’ on Multi TV Saturday, the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jr said Stan’s behaviour ‘has embarrassed the President’.

“…this one he has embarrassed the President seriously…it’s a huge challenge for the President. I know he likes Stan because he works hard but this is a disaster".

Kweku Baako says Stan should have asked the guy to leave because what they were saying is off record and the gentleman could have obliged instead of resorting to violence.

“I can’t believe it...he is a journalist; he’s been trained and so even if the journalist has been unethical…the prescription, the cure adopted is completely outrageous. It is like killing an ant with a sledge hammer…it is just difficult to understand,” he added.
