Anas' Investigation Independently Done!; No Press House Collaborated - Kweku Baako

Kweku Baako, Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, has dismissed reported claims by Accra-based radio station Starr FM that the current investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas was in partnership with the station.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM, the seasoned journalist disclosed that Anas' expose about fraudulent actions undertaken by some judges in the country was independent of any media house.

Starr FM reported on its online portal that "the over two years painstaking investigations by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in partnership with StarrFMonline.com" and "will be released in full in the coming weeks, ahead of a premiere at the Accra International Conference Centre."

But Mr. Baako, who has over the years played an instrumental role in Anas' investigative career, explained on Kokrokoo that Starr FM through their report online has given the impression that the station played a part in the new investigative task by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

He placed on record that "the investigations were independent of any media house…no press house took part in it…

According to him, Starr FM’s report is very misleading because “they are only corroborating with Anas is certain regards [with the premiering] but not with the investigations…"
