Anas Aremeyaw Anas Should Be Commended For Exposing Corrupt Judges - Atik Mohammed

Aspiring General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed, has commended Anas Aremeyaw Anas for conducting a secret investigation into the conduct of some judges in the country.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Atik Mohammed applauded the ace investigative journalist for exposing the corruption that exists in the judiciary because to him, the expose will serve as a deterrent to other justices.

He explained that though Ghanaians have had cause to believe that some judges are influenced with bribes to either quash or tamper with a case but they were looking for hard evidence.

Anas' investigation has therefore corroborated the claims and so the culprits should be sanctioned; Atik told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.

He further noted that there are indeed incorruptible judges in the judicial service but it however does not rule out the fact that some by nature will at all times collect bribes.

“We must honour him because he’s given the entire country what we have for long yearned by way of evidence and taking the necessary steps towards purging the judiciary” of such scandal.

“This is the kind of evidence we’ve all been looking for…Nobody can tell me that all of them were entrapped or lured into taking bribes…I’m not sure that it is so for all cases. We will indeed find some people who were corrupt by nature, had intentions to take bribes and indeed took bribes and acted in a way that justified the bribes that they took. So, we have to commend Anas," he stated.
