Ghana Police Criticizes Minority For Violating Laws

The Ghana Police Service has criticized the Minority in Parliament for what it describes as a violation of police rules at the Ghana Police Hospital. A statement signed by the PRO of the Police Service, DSP Kwesi Ofori, said the police administration is dismayed about the manner in which some members of the Minority in Parliament went to the male ward of the police hospital without going through the laid down procedures of the hospital. According to the police administration, one of the MPs approached the hospital authorities for permission but while the issue was being considered, the rest went ahead with some members of the press. This was without recourse to the laid down procedure of informing the hospital administration in writing or by a phone call to be approved by the Head of the Police Hospital Administration, the statement added.
