Stop Politicizing Violent incidents

The Deputy National Organiser of the NDC, Opanyin Yaw Boateng Gyan, had decried the tendency to associate politics to every incident that occurs in the country. It is shameful and indeed a pity that every unfortunate incident or violence is being politicized. Instead of fashioning out ways at addressing the numerous problems confronting the country, politicization of everything has become the order of the day he lamented. Opanyin Yaw Boateng Gyan was expressing his views on Peace FMs Morning Show, Kokrokoo on the reported scenes of violence recorded in Agbogbloshie, Accra, last Tuesday. He expressed his disappointment with todays (Wednesday, 27th Aug.) caption of the Daily Guide newspaper that, 4 killed in NDC/NPP clash but no arrest yet. According to him, there is no evidence that its a political violence but the newspaper is making it look that way. The police have maintained that it was purely a misunderstanding between two ethnic groups, so did Daily Guide have to go to that extent. If we continue to politicize every unfortunate incident as a result of misunderstanding, certain bad citizens would also continue to misbehave, he cautioned.
