"Cracks In Ghana Bigger Than NPP Cracks" Chief

Bolina Saaka, the Chief of Loggu, says Ghanaians should be very worried about the dysfunctional state of Ghana, because the cracks that can be found in every sector of the Ghanaian economy can in no way be compared to the relatively insignificant cracks within the New Patriotic Party. These cracks in Ghana and how they can be mended should grip the minds of Ghanaians and the media, rather than the continuous focus on the happenings in the NPP which, he said, can easily be resolved. Bolina Saaka made this known when the 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, called on him at his palace in Wa on Tuesday, September 16, 2015. Thanking Nana Akufo-Addo for visiting him in his "little corner", he lamented about the current state of Ghanas economy, which he said had been predicted by Nana Akufo-Addos running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. According to the Chief, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumias "prophecies" on the Ghanaian economy, for which he was derided and lambasted by assigns of the Mahama government, have all come to pass, including his predictions on Ghana going HIPC again, as well as the fall of the Cedi. He, therefore, hoped that the Mahama government would listen to Dr Bawumia in the future, and take steps to remedy the worsening economic situation Ghana finds herself in. Touching on the cracks in Ghana, which he later described as being worse than gullies, he indicated that Ghanaians are not happy about the countrys disorganised and dysfunctional educational system, a collapsing healthcare delivery system, an abandoned public transportation system, and a challenged economic environment. He was, therefore, at a loss why the NDC would shift its energies and attention from solving these huge problems facing Ghana, including widespread mismanagement, rising cost of living and worsening conditions of living of the Ghanaian, to rather complain about the NPPs internal issues. On the current expos on corruption in the judiciary by ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Bolina Saaka noted that all these developments are symptomatic of a crippled state. In concluding, he noted that the majority of Ghanaian people are looking up to Nana Akufo-Addo, not only to patch the cracks in the NPP, but to, indeed, build a progressive and prosperous Ghana. On his part, Nana Akufo-Addo, who was given a rousing welcome, explained to Bolina Saaka that he was in the Upper West Region on a 2-day tour of the region, and deemed it fit to call on him. Nana Akufo-Addo reiterated his commitment to bridging the gap between the North and South through the competent implementation of his Northern Development Authority concept, when giving the mandate in 2016. This, he said, will have as its backbone, the transformation of the agricultural sector in the 3 Northern regions to ensure year-round agriculture. He, therefore, called on the people of the Upper West region to have confidence in him, and trust him as he will offer competent and honest leadership when given the opportunity to serve the people of Ghana. The NPP flagbearer commended Bolina Saaka, who was previously the Headmaster of Tamale Senior High School, for mentoring an endless list of industrious citizens, including his own running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP's National Women's Organiser, Otiko Afisa Djaba.
