Raid Is NDC On NDC - Kwamina Duncan

The Central regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is pleading innocence in the raid of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) office in the region. Rather, it is calling on the Central Regional Police Command and National Security to institute thorough investigations into circumstances leading to the armed robbery attack. Armed robbers numbering about five stormed the office at dawn on Sunday and made away with a television set. The masked gunmen according to reports dismantled metal fittings used to secure the doors and windows and invaded the office of the partys director of elections and Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs. Though its unclear the motive behind the attack, Mr. Jacobs is shocked at the development and suspects the partys opponents are responsible for the raid. But at a press conference Monday, the Central regional NPP Secretary, Kwamina Duncan urged the NDC to look within. In his view, some disgruntled supporters of some NDC parliamentary aspirants who feel short-changed might be behind the attack. A party which become so intolerant that its own members are being blocked from the exercise of choice and because they dont believe in the system so Im sure they took the opportunity to raid the office to get the entire process destroyed he added. Kwame Duncan blamed the NDC Regional Chairman; Allotey Jacobs who have vowed not to allow anyone contest the incumbent MP for the criminal act. Our believe is that political intolerance cannot be stretched to this limit so if within a governing party such a thing can happen, our fear is that, if NDC and NDC and it has turned into armed bandit, what about if there is a misunderstanding between NDC and NPP he quizzed. The NDC Central region scribe described as unfortunate plans by the NDC to blame the NPP for the robbery attack. Kwame Duncan maintained that the raid is NDC on NDC because Allotey Jacobs is blocking party delegates from making their choice to represent them in Parliament.
