Minister warns over politicization of debate on education

The Volta Regional Minister, Mr Joseph Amenowode, has appealed to stakeholders in education to discuss educational matters devoid of partisan politics. He said playing politics with education had the potential to retard the development of the nation. Me Amenowode was speaking at the 14th National Biennial Congress of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) at the University of Education, Winneba. It was on the theme, "Education System in Ghana-which way" and was attended by members from the University of Education, Winneba, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, University of Development Studies, University of Mines and Technology and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Mr. Amenowode called for a broad-based educational system to confront the challenges ahead.
