Kwesi Nyantakyi Promise To Resolve Black Queens Bonus Row

Ghana football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi has assured the Black Queens of resolving the current bonus row between the team and authorities. The Black Queens have refused to leave the M-Plaza hotel since arriving from the All-Africa Games following the governments failure to pay them their deserved bonuses. The team made a historic feat after winning Gold at this years competition in Congo by beating Cameroon in the finals. The Sports Ministry upon the teams successful exploit decided to reward each player with $2,000 for winning Gold at the competition, an amount which was rejected by the players as they claim the government owes them over $20,000. Players of the team are yet to receive any bonus since taking on Zimbabwe in the qualifiers back in April this year. The team was further promised $6,000 should they get to the finals and an extra $5,000 should they win the ultimate. Failure on the part of government to fulfill their promise has left the ladies with no option than to stay at the hotel at the expense of government. Kwesi Nyantakyi has however given surety to the team indicating his outfit is putting in place measures to resolve the situation at hand. No one is happy with the current happenings and we should all be committed to resolving the problem. We are all not having any sleep about the concerns of the team, the GFA President told the team in a meeting. Its unfortunate and we have to find a way around it. There should be a solution soon because its embarrassing everybody, Nyantakyi added. The ladies according to reports were denied lunch on Sunday and asked to leave the hotel by close of Monday.
