The PPP is poised to re-energize and entrench its dominance in the political landscape of the country. It is the aim of the party, not to be third in 2016 elections, but to win enough seats to form a considerable majority in parliament without failing the presidential elections. The party has not been happy with the level of corruption with impunity in our country which has risen to the levels of our judiciary as depicted by the recent documentary by Anas Aremyaw Anas. It is the desire of the PPP to separate the office of the Attorney General from the ministry of Justice and provide and independent state prosecutor who shall be able to prosecute all persons who are found of wrong doing irrespective of their political affiliation or status in society. The PPP is seeking power to use government resources to solve the little problems confronting the nation which the Mahama-Led administration has failed to do. The PPP being the second biggest opposition, wishes to overtake the NPP and NDC and become the problem solving government that will help Ghanaians live the life they deserve.
