Mahama Arrives In Los Angeles

President John Mahama has arrived in Los Angeles, California, from New York for a number of engagements including Presidential Lectures.
It will be the first visit to the State of California by a Ghanaian President since 1995.

He will be the guest of the University of South California Center on Public Diplomacy for a special conversation on Ghana and its role in global society, with a focus on the ‘Made in Ghana’ campaign

President Mahama will also be a special guest at a “Ghana’s Rise” event being hosted by the World Affairs Council of Los Angeles.

On Friday October 1, President Mahama will deliver a talk on “The African Diaspora: Possibilities and Privileges of Empowerment in this Technological Age” at the University of California, Riverside.

The university in a statement said “we are delighted to announce this special visit to UC Riverside by a world leader and head of state?”

“In an era of rapid change and globalization, President Mahama’s visit shows that universities can be conveners of important public policy and international affairs discussions.”

President Mahama will also meet and interact with the Ghanaian community in Los Angeles, and hold discussions with the Mayor of Los Angeles.
