The MP for Sefwi Akontombra, Hon. Herod Kobina, has appealed to the Ministry of Roads and Highways, to urgently resource contractors working on roads in the Western Region, in order to put to good shape, all roads which have deteriorated in the region, as a result of heavy rains and neglect over the years.
According to the MP, who spoke to Peace FM in an interview, the bad nature of the roads in the Western region has seriously affected the travelling public as well as evacuation of cocoa and foodstuff from the hinterlands.
Until immediate attention is given to the problem, Hon. Kobina said, productivity in the Western Region will be greatly affected.
