President Mills: I Will Develop Ghana In 4-Years

The President, Prof. J. E. A Mills has stressed that if people think government is moving rather slow, it is because the resources available are not up to what they were made to believe at the time they took over power. Despite what he describes as the unavailability of resources, Mills says government is putting its house in order to meet the needs of the people. He said within their 4-year mandate, the government would achieve its objectives and even be voted for again. President Mills stated these when a delegation from the Mamprugu Traditional area led by the Nayiri-Na Bohagu Mahami Sheriga paid a courtesy call on him at the Castle, Osu. President Mills said all that the people need is development in terms of water, schools, good health, services, housing schemes and jobs among others, which government is committed in providing to all. On his part, the spokesman of the Mamprugu delegation, Nagbowure Na E. D. Mahami, said their major roads need urgent construction to ensure free flow of trade and to transport Agricultural products easily. He said they are also in need of a Teacher Training College. He said they support the division of Northern region into two but stressed government has to do more consultation on it.
