President Mahama Calls For Tolerance And Unity In NDC

President John Dramani Mahama has appealed to members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to tolerate each other as nominees campaigned towards their up-coming primaries to maintain unity in the party.

He urged the delegates to ensure that the primaries slated for November 7, were a peaceful event for all contestants and their supporters to accept the outcome in good faith.

President Mahama made the appeal at a regional rally organized by the party in Sunyani to end his two-day endorsement tour in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

He urged them to refrain from using abusive and offensive language against each other in their campaigns, and see themselves as one people with a common vision.

President Mahama reiterated that he would ensure the fulfillment of all his electoral promises to Ghanaians before the end of his tenure, and said the construction of 200 community day Senior High Schools nationwide were on course.

He disclosed that the NDC was making reforms in the party, and urged all members to ensure that they registered for their names to appear in the party’s database, so that their information could be accessed at all places.

Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the General Secretary of the party entreated sympathizers to stay committed, and not to be swayed by the lies being peddled around by members of the New Patriotic Party against President Mahama.

He said President Mahama was very much concerned about the well-being of the citizenry, and therefore working hard to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians, and not to worsen them.
