Akufo Addo & Bawumia Will Be Stoned And Hooted At By Party Members After,... - Koku Anyidoho

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho says the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has foreseen the immeasurable disgrace awaiting the party, hence the threat to boycott the public hearing on the voters’ register.

Following series of petitions and calls from some political parties, civil society groups and a number of Ghanaians for a new voters’ register, the Electoral Commission has assembled a Panel of Eminent Ghanaians to hold a two-day public hearing on the voters’ register.

But even before the panel which consists of His Lordship Professor Crabbe, Most Reverend Professor Emmanuel Asante, Dr. Grace Bediako, Dr. Nii Narku Quaynor and Maulvi Bin Salih commence their work, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has challenged the neutrality of some of the panel members.

Gabby Otchere-Darko in his article has stated that the political parties that are calling for a new register are left with no other option but to boycott this week’s EC public forum.

According to him, Mrs Osei has not acted in a way that chimes with the sincere intentions of an independent, impartial umpire on the controversy over the voters list.

But the deputy Chief Scribe in a sharp riposte on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show says the opposition NPP has sensed the shame which is looming its camp with the fake 10 percent investigation claiming Togolese nationals are in Ghana’s voters list.

He insisted the opposition NPP has no case despite their public noise and gratuitous appeals to the former Heads of State to intervene in the call for a new voters’ register before the 2016 elections are conducted.

“…NPP will be greatly ashamed; they will be soaked in shame to the extent that Akufo Addo and Dr. Bawumia will be hooted at and stoned by their own party members for lying and deceiving them”, he chided.

He reiterated the NPP has envisaged disgrace in the coming days which is why the leaders have started shifting the goal post; charging on Ghanaians to hoot at the NPP as they have no case to defend before the panel on October 29 and 30.
