Tetra Netherlands Sponsors Education Of Orphans, Donates To Hospital

Three tertiary level students from Father’s Home Ministries, an orphanage at Butumejebu, a suburb of Takoradi in the Western Region, have received various sponsorship packages totaling Ghc7, 225 from Tetra Netherlands B.V Gh.

The amount is expected to cover the academic expenses of the beneficiaries for one academic year. Martin Johnston, Operations and Sales Engineer of the oil service company, said the gesture forms part of the company’s social responsibility initiatives which is to improve the lives of people in the communities they operate.

The company, which provides filtration and clean-up services in the oil industry, also in 2013, donated assorted items worth 8,000 cedis to the orphanage.

The items included computers, detergents and food items. Tetra Netherlands B.V Gh in another gesture, donated medical instruments worth over Ghc 11,760 to the Kwesimintsim Polyclinic Ear Nose and Throat Center, which is set to open in 2016.

Receiving the items, the Nurse Manager, Margaret Annan, called on other benevolent organizations and individuals to assist health facilities to enable them offer better services.

The company in 2014, made a similar donation during which they presented hospital materials valued at GH¢15,000 to the management of the hospital.
