Nigerian Ebola Hero Delivers Ebola-Free Baby

One of Nigeria’s great heroes who fought with their lives during the outbreak of Ebola virus in Nigeria, Dr. Ada Igonoh has delivered her baby girl in California.

Dr. Ada ever since her pregnancy has been undergoing series of medical surveillance until the birth of her baby at Great El-Monte Community Hospital, California.

In order to celebrate both mother and child, the staff and friends of First Consultants Medical Centre are jubilant as they welcome a new lease of life into the institution but could not also forget the loss of their colleague during this battle.

Not only is everyone jubilant about the welcome of this bundle of joy, but also happy because the baby has been certified Ebola-free by the hospital.

It could also be recalled that Dr Igonoh is the only female medical doctor in Nigeria that survived the deadly disease.

The World Health Organization with the Centre for Disease Control, formally declared Nigeria Ebola-Free on October 20, 2014.
