FMO Blesses An Orphanage Home With Gifts

Orphans at the Teshie Orphanage home had something to cheer about over the weekend when Faith and Move Organization (FMO) donated assorted items to the home.

Executives of the FMO, an NGO visited the owner of the orphanage, Mrs. Janet Parker to contribute their widow’s mite.

Mr. Obed Twerefour Faakye, Operations Manager of FMO was joined by Deacon Dennis Larbi, Director of the group to present clothes, drinks, biscuits, foodstuffs etc to the home.

FMO is an NGO based in Lapaz, a suburb in Accra and in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Deacon Larbi noted that as a group, “they believe in the sustainability of human development, opportunity to all to attain full individual potential and also to create and support the enabling environment to arrest human distress particular in Africa and the world at large.”

He also explained that their core objectives are to:

1.  to contribute to the eradication of poverty.

2.  to enrich the knowledge and skills of the needy and to help them meet requirements of the labor market

3. to assist single parents and help them forget their desperate loneliness and

4. To promote the welfare of children and women in homes and communities.

Deacon Dennis Larbi added that their only motivation in donating gifts to orphans is to make them smile and meet certain demands based on what the bible says in Proverbs 19:17.

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.’
