National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams says Ghanaian youth will wait and hope in vain if they are expecting the opposition NPP’s Flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo to come up with any good policy for them.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, says Ghanaian youth have given up any hope of the country offering them a bright future.

The NPP flagbearer made this known on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, when he delivered a speech at the 15th anniversary celebration of the Tertiary Students Confedracy (TESCON), at the Mensah Sarbah Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon.

Speaking under the theme “NPP Youth – Today, Tomorrow” Nana Addo said the economic hardships, rampant and widespread corruption, rising cost of living, and the high levels of unemployment are signs that the Mahama led administration has nothing better for the Ghanaian youth.

But reacting to this on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Adams said nothing serious came out of Akufo Addo’s visit to the Sarbah Hall except the report trending on social media that he (Nana Addo) said he is an associate member of Sarbah Hall because his girlfriend was at Sarbah Hall.

He pontificated that if Nana Addo has said anything serious at the anniversary that would have been the topical issue trending on social media; stressing that nothing different is trending on social media for the youth except this issue.

He indicated that the trending of Akufo Addo’s speech on social media does not come as a surprise to him because the NPP’s Flagbearer being overage has no plans for the youth; impressing on the youth not to expect any policy for them.

“The youth must rather sit down to decide for themselves what they want to do with their lives. They should not rely on the octogenarian to plan for us because he won’t say anything meaningful. So I was not surprised at what was trending on social media about the issue of his girlfriend,” he stated.
