Job Creation Is Our Major Priority - PPP

The top hierarchy of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), led by its National Chairman, Brew Hammod, has visited a host of communities in the Ashanti region to deliver the party’s 2016 campaign messages, highlighting strong job Creation Avenue for the youth as a top priority when voted for in the 2016 general elections.

The leadership, during their visit also touched on the party’s solutions for betting the national economy faced with mounting public debt and unstable local currency, meeting the health and educational needs, and tackling endemic institutional corruption in the country.

The party’s leadership addressed a mini rally in Obuasi and also called on the Adansihene, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, and later visited Fomena, a neighbouring town.

According to the party’s leadership it was only through massive job opportunities that could help a crusade in every nation’s developmental agenda and promised to ensure that the country was engulfed with more employment opportunities when given the nod in 2016.

Briefing The New Crusading GUIDE, the party’s parliamentary aspirant for Obuasi East in the Ashanti Region, Frank Aboagye Dannyasah, assured that the party was prepared to deliver on its promises and called on Ghanaians to vote PPP come 2016, to elevate the country from its current bad state.

The party has put forward some radical reforms towards promoting good governance and reiterated its position to elect Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives and decoupling the Attorney-General from justice, he stated.

He noted that joblessness amongst the youth was on the rise in Obuasi and its neighbourhood following the withdrawal of Anglogold Ashanti from the areas mining concession and the subsequent dismissal of army of workers mostly the youth.

“The people want the PPP in power, they listened to us on our policies and programs, and they are convinced we shall bridge the infrastructure gap in Obuasi and create the needed job opportunities” Mr. Danyasah said.

As an estate developer, the PPP parliamentary aspirant promised to focus more on infrastructural development for the people and efforts to create more jobs for the youth when voted for in 2016.

He assured the people that he would convene regular community-based meetings to address peculiar needs of the community and further provide the needed facilities to improve living conditions in the area.

Mr. Dannyisah, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danyiwise Estate and Construction, noted that the country was on the brink of changing leadership which required a new party with vision to lead and transform the economy.

He lamented Ghana’s mounting inflation, falling cedi, tall budget deficit, growing public sector debt and climbing graduate unemployment in spite of huge resources at the country’s disposal.

Mr. Danysah said the PPP had revamped its local structures and was engaged in robust campaign devoid of acrimony and personal attacks to annex power and constitute the next government in 2017.

He vowed to snatch the Obuasi East seat and reverse the underdevelopment that has struck the area by launching a crusade on infrastructure expansion.
