Asawase Murder: NPP Youth, Womens' Organisers Remanded

An Asokwa District Magistrate Court has remanded three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of NPP supporter Abubakar Saddiq last Friday.

Youth Organiser Issah Usman and Women’s Organiser Hajia Wasila Gariba who are executives in the Asawase constituency were remanded along with a party supporter Alhassan Issah.

The constituency Chairman Isaac Brenya who was also arrested to assist in investigations did not appear in court.

The court presided over by His Worship Mr. Korkor Achaw Owusu has been adjourned to 24th November, 2015.

Nhyira FM’s Prince Appiah who was at the court reported on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme Tuesday that constituency chairman, Isaac K Gyasi was not produced in court as police had not finished interrogating him.

The Women’s organizer, he said, took breaks during the court proceedings to take fresh air as according to her client, she is an asthmatic patient.

Prince continued that there were large supporters of the NPP at the court with family members of the accused also coming in their numbers to offer the accused moral support.
