Mr Seth Tekper, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning on Friday at exactly 1120 hours stood out to present the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2016 financial year, to parliament.
The Minister in accordance with the standing orders of Parliament was invited to present the 2016 budget by the Speaker of Parliament Mr Edward Doe Adjaho.
It is the first budget in the second-year of a 3-year IMF program that recommends austerity in public expenditure.
