NPP Always Want To Tempt Us - Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia said he is not surprised names of members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are found in the register being used for its parliamentary and presidential primaries.

According to him, the opposition party in its bid to break their ranks always find clandestine way to infiltrate into the party’s database to cause confusion.

General Mosquito as he is popular called was reacting to complains of such occurrences especially at the Bolga Central constituency in the Upper East region.

The name, picture and other details of NPP communications director of Bolga Central, Elvis-Figo Atiah name was found on the register being used at Methodist JHS polling station.

He is said to have informed about the situation and wrote to the party to delete his name, Joy News Upper East regional correspondent Albert Sore has said.

This has raised eyebrows among some party members in the constituency wondering how a member of the NDC’s rival party was implanted in their register.

But Asiedu Nketia in an interview on Asempa FM said he is not surprised since the NPP is capable of doing anything to create division in the ruling party. “NPP always want to tempt us so they find foul means in infiltrate our camp just to create confusion but they have failed” he stressed.

The NDC scribe noted that they will as a matter of urgency institute investigations to nib any pandemonium in the bud. However, General Mosquito said apart from some isolated violence, everything has gone on smoothly as anticipated.
