I Want My Name Off NDC Register - NPP Communications Officer

Vincent Amenuveve reports that the New Patriotic Party communications director in the Bolga Central constituency of the Upper East region, Mr Elvis Figo Awonekai is contemplating taking legal action against the Bolga Central NDC for not deleting his name from the voters register in one of the polling centres in the Tanzui-Zorbisi electoral.

It is unclear how he got his name in the register but he says he has written to the NDC to get his name out of the register.

Below is the letter he wrote to the NDC.

C/o New patriotic party
Bolga central constituency
Bolgatanga
15th November, 2015

The NDC Constituency Chairman
Bolgatanga central constituency
Bolgatanga.
Dear Sir,

REQUEST TO REMOVE MY NAME FROM NDC BOLGA CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY MEMBERSHIP REGISTER.

I wish to implore you to delete my name from the Bolgatanga central constituency register of the NDC. I do not know who, how, and why my name is in your register but I do know that I have never been a sympathiser or member of NDC and I do not ever intend to be one.

I therefore wish to humbly ask you to remove my name and other details from your register to avoid court injunction on the Bolgatanga central constituency primaries of your party.

The facts are as follows:
I was informed by some NDC polling station executives of Methodist JHS that they saw my details in your membership register.

Immediately, I called Mr Edmund Adongo, NDC coordinator for Tanzui-Zorbisi electoral area and he confirmed it. I told him to take the necessary measures to remove my name from your register. Only to see today on 15th November, 2015 that I am still in your register.

Let me once again remind you to delete my name from your register and communicate to me or risk legal actions.

Thank You
....signed.....
