Military Men Retrieve Weapons At NPP HQ; Police�In-Charge of Security Now

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), headquarters is again at the centre of controversy after armed military personnel ransacked the office at Monday dawn retrieving weapons.

NEAT FM’s senior reporter, Agya Kwabena reports that there is heavy security presence at the party’s headquarters.

“NPP’s office is more than a war zone now, I have counted at least 11 police armoured cars here. You dare not misbehave here. The place is calm,” he said. 

It is believed the Party’s private security firm, The Invisible Forces were locked in one of the offices during the Monday dawn ransack by the military.

NPP’s George Andah told NEAT FM that – “Currently the party leadership is in a meeting and we will address the situation later to the public.”

He added that - although there were some violence at the party’s headquarters, the police have managed to quell the disturbances at the scene.

According to NEAT FM’s Agya Kwabena – the police are now in control of NPP’s security measure until further notice.
