Amass Ghana  ( a Socialist group which advocates peace) has congratulated the President John Dramani Mahamah and the entire NDC for  going through a successful primaries .

 In a statement  signed by the  Convener of the group Mr Kofi Asamoah Ababio , it said by the successful primaries the NDC has shown that it is truly a social democratic party.

 Amass Ghana however said democracy cannot be taken for granted in the 21st century hence political parties especially  the NDC and NPP should always respect the life and well-being of the people by refraining from acts of violence.

It also appealed to religious leaders in the country to admonish their people to help ensure peace in the country always.
