Prez Mahama Should Sack Power Minister To Show His Seriousness In Solving "Dum Sor'" - Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has appealed to President John Mahama to sack the Power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor.

Dr. Kwabena Bomfeh promised to solve the energy problems by the end of this year.

He assured Ghanaians that he would immediately resign should the power shortages continue after this year.

The countdown is on as the year gradually comes to an end but little appears to have been done to remedy the situation.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, he bemoaned the incompetence of the Power Minister in solving the energy problems.

According to him, President John Mahama should stop talking about the energy problems and take the necessary actions to make his appointees serious about solving the problems.

Mr. President has spoken too much on this energy matter. He has spoken too much on this energy matter. I’m sure most of it ill-informed and that’s why His Excellency, the President, by now should have fired somebody to show he’s serious about solving the problem."

He further noted that Ghana would have been a better country under the Mahama administration if the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) had honoured its manifesto promises to Ghanaians.

We live a deception in this country. Otherwise if NDC were to honour even 10 per cent of their own manifesto pledge this country; we won’t be here. We would be better than this; at least we won’t be in dum sor.

James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila, was insistent that Dr. Kwabena Donkor should be show the exit from the Power Ministry.

Dr. Kwabena Donkor made it seem very easy. In fact, he ridiculed the managers of the energy sector at the time…By now; His Excellency should have shown Dr. Kwabena Donkor the exit long ago,” he added.
