Ignore The Others, Choose Dr. Kwesi Botchway As Your Running Mate
We have monitored keenly, the numerous of groups petitioning the president to appoint a running mate from their tribes, religious beliefs or region.
We find this as normal because, every group within a tribe or a region in Ghana tries to lobby for the best of everything and opportunities to their respective zones.
But, though we share such vision, we believe we have to also sometimes consider the substance of what or who we lobby for.
As a party, we have had a huge gap between the president and his vice president in the delivery of their respective roles. We have all witnessed a great deal of incompetence at the vice presidency as a government and as a party, hence, we can't fold our arms as party faithfuls to allow this to continue.
But, We can't blame it on the president of this unfortunate situation, because, he had very little time and virtually not much consultations done before appointing Mr. Amissah Arthur as his running mate prior to the 2012 elections.
We have all witnessed such flaws and we think it's time now to make things right, by appointing a competent and a much experienced partner to help the president to deliver very well on his mandate.
In the regard, we wish to formally petition the. president to choose Mr. Kwesi Botchwey as his running mate to the upcoming general elections.
We believe it's imperative of the NDC and the president to appoint a competent and an experienced partner to win the next general elections.
We understand the call from our friends from the volta region and the central regions urging the president to choose Mr. Adjaho and Hanna Tetteh. They all equally good choices, but, we believe their track records and general social reputations are in question.
If you consider, the current Vice president, his competence to the office has been doubted by a lot of Ghanaians. This is because, as party faithfuls and as Ghanaians, we expected Mr. Amissah Arthur to have used his experience gathered to help grow our economy. But, have we seen? We have seen a total decline in our growth rate and our economy.
We think, the NPP would use this to campaign against us as a party and the earlier we consider getting a competent replacement, the better. Moreover, Mr Amissah Arthur had not convincingly debunked the allegations leveled against him as a Gay, of which we fear he Npp can use to our detriment
Also, we can't fail to admit that, Dr. Bawumia of the NPP is gradually seen as competent and the earlier we give him a good match the better for us as a party.
For, Mr. Joe Adjaho, nobody can question his experience, but, a lot can be said about his competence to Complement you, Mr. President in terms of the knowledge to grow and manage the Economy of our Country. So We believe he isn't the best of options for you as vice president and hence, you opt not to make him any consideration.
Also, for Mrs Hanna Tetteh, We think the Tag of her being arrogant and also her less Knowledge in issues that relates the Economy and management of the economy can affect us adversely if calls for her to partner you is considered.
Also, we wish to state it that, we should not be happy with the over 61000 people voting NO against the candidature of the president. It's tells us to work harder as a government and a party in order to retain power in the next election. So it's prudent we make the best of choices to bring us votes so we could win the elections.
We shouldn't let people like Yaw Boateng Gyan and Aseidu Nketiah to in any try to counter the motion we have proposed to you, Mr president.
We have enough evidence as to why over 61000 people voted against the president and per our findings, we realized it was engineered by Yaw Boateng Gyan and Aseidu Nketiah all to further make you unpopular even within the NDC. This is sad and we think you should put up all measures to win the next election, because, if you fail, that would be your end. Of this We wish to Suggest Dr. Kwesi Botchwey to you, because he will bring competence to the yicket of yhe party
We believe he is relatively competent, experienced and can be a great addition to the ticket of the party and further work to grow and manage the economy of our country effectively.
If we do this as a party, we shall be victorious in the 2016 elections.
