TUC Calls On President Mahama To Transact A Fair Deal At Climate Change Cop 21

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) is asking President John Mahama and other world leaders to ensure the agreement being held in France concerning COP 21 prioritizes job creation.

The Trades Union Congress is very particular about making sure there is a just transition from where the state of the country is now and where it wants to be, as far as its agreement with countries on trade issues are concerned.

In an interview with Joy FM news, the spokesperson on Climate Change for TUC, Mr. Kingsley Nkansah said it is in the Congress’s interest to make sure a fair transaction is agreed on by combating climate change to reduce the global warming.

Peter Banfo of the Forestry Commission wants COP 21 to sensitize countries and individuals whose projects are reducing atmospheric positions.

President John Dramani Mahama and about 150 other world leaders are gathering in France for a major conference on Climate Change, to agree on a deal on how to tackle climate change issues, since the changes in climate are affecting us as far as our agricultural systems especially is concerned.

The conference also known as Conference of Parties (COP 21) would discuss the possible new global warming agreeement to reduce carbon emissions and also avoid the threat of global warming.

The aim for this meeting is to create a universally legally binding agreement on how to preserve the climate.
