Exclusive! Kwabena Agyepong Disowns Aide Says He Is Only An NPP Activist!

Pride they say comes before a fall; as arrogant Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has now begun shunning the company of a certain Davis Opoku Ansah, also known as ‘OPK’, who is parading himself as Agyepong’s aide and spokesperson, The Informer has learnt.

Claiming to be an aide to the embattled General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Davis Opoku, noted for his hatchet job, came out to debunk a story carried out by this Paper on Monday, December 7, 2015, that Mr. Agyepong was lobbying influential persons in the NPP to beg on his behalf, the party committee probing his ‘sins’ against the NPP, to temper justice with mercy, regarding his impending suspension.

Unbeknown to him, what the soon-to-be-suspended NPP General Secretary is reported to have told the party Disciplinary Committee – of his relationship with him – ‘OPK’ who went viral in defense of Kwabena Agyepong on air, said his ‘boss’ has done nothing wrong in violation of the NPP Constitution, to beg.

“Why will he apologize and beg for leniency? What has he done; has he slept with anybody’s wife or flouted the laws of the party? This story is done to embarrass Kwabena Agyepong has never begged for leniency, but only responded to the call of the Committee, and he will reappear to answer some question”, Davis Opoku Ansah was heard ranting on air, forgetting that there are many Judas Iscariots born to Simon and Cyborea (Iscariots), in the NPP.

Not prepared to lose his job and cease to be called “General 1”, whose signature the NPP needs to file at the Electoral Commission (EC) for the elections in 2016, Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, according to this paper’s impeccable sources, shocked members of the National Disciplinary Committee hearing his case, when he disowned ‘OPK’, indicating that, he [OPK] is not his aide or spokesperson as he portrays himself.

“OPK is a party activist. He is not my aide, neither does he speak for me,” the beleaguered NPP General Secretary of NPP is reported to have said on his appearance before the Disciplinary Committee.

According to the Informer source, whether Kwabena Agyepong was trying to pull a smart one on the committee, so to be treated with some level of compassion – with his denial of OPK – the fact remains that, he just tried to completely distance himself from ‘OPK’ when he was asked about his relationship with him and whether ‘OPK’s comments were approved by him [Kwabena].

“In fact, Kwabena, appearing before us, disowned ‘OPK’ so we are surprised to hear that he (OPK) was still being introduced as aide and spokesperson to Kwabena; trying to dare the committee,” the source added.

Asked if ‘OPK’s pronouncements could possibly change the recommendation to be submitted to the party National Executive Committee (NEC) for approval, the source replies “Well that could be: if after all the lobbying, somebody is out there bragging and portraying Kwabena hasn’t done anything wrong to be suspended, why not!
