Peacefmonline. com has intercepted a petition written by Hajia Zulfawu Amadu, the sacked Northern regional Women Organizer challenging the decision of the regional Chairman Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu to knock her off perch.
The petition addressed to the party's Presidential Flagbearer Nana Addo and copied the National Council of Elders, the Disciplinary Committee and the Vice Presidential Candidate Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia
The petition is seeking the intervention of these bodies to ensure her reinstatement as the Deputy Regional Women Organizer
Hajia Zulfawu in the petition describes the decision as "unilateral, autocratic and unconstitutional" and that she was shocked at the decision on the basis that her investigation revealed it was not a collective decision by the Regional executives
Parts of the petition read "I received a letter purported to have emanated from the Northern Regional Chairman, Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu conveying to me my removal from office as Deputy Regional Women Organizer.
The said letter failed to provide enough reasons for my removal except to state further that " your removal is on the grounds that you have lived below expectations as Deputy Women Organizer "
It states further "in fact after receiving the letter, I conducted an independent check to ascertain whether the decision to axe me was a collective decision taken by the Northern regional executives Committee, To my dismay, they were all oblivious of my removal except the Regional Chairman"
The embattled Organizer in the petition argues that as a party that believes in the rule of law, much consultation ought to have been done before arriving at such decision
She believes for an action such as removal from office to have taken against her the party constitution should have been the first point of reference
According to her she had served the party to the best of her ability and has never misconducted herself in any form that might warranted a Disciplinary process against her not to talk of removal from office
She appeals to Nana Addo on who's authority the chairman has constantly said he was acting on, and other authorities in the Party to come to her aid
"I seek your intervention to have this unconstitutional decision reversed and have me properly reinstated to my original position as the Deputy Women Organizer
The Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu in a one man show of power unilaterally dismissed Hajia Zulfawu Adamu as the Regional Deputy Women Organizer and amidst the uproars and stiff opposition from other majority Regional executives he furthered on to appoint and sworn in a certain Hajia Safia Mohammed, his half sister, as the new Deputy Women Organizer
As reported earlier by Peacefmonline. com, the party is hinging on balance of confusion ever since the Regional Chairman took the 'alarmist' decision
Suites of meetings called to ensure among other things the reinstatement of Hajia Zulfawu have been unsuccessful including a parley held over the weekend at the residence of the Regional Chairman of council of Elders to broker a truce
The immediate former Chairman Mr. Haruna popularly known as Harun Bees was reported to have lost his temper at the meeting and made disparaging remarks about Mr. Bugri Naabu who was absent from the meeting
Peacefmonline.com also gathered the Gonja tribe in the region is also reading tribal meanings into the decision and has vowed never to entertain Chairman Bugri Naabu should the decision not reversed
Hajia Zulfawu who may have exhausted all the party structures in region decided to petition the National leadership of the party informing them to intervene and save her position for her.
