A section of student hairdressers and beauticians in the Greater Accra Region have written examination at the end of their apprenticeship. In all, 460 candidates sat the examination which was organized by the National Vocational Training Institute.
The examination covered professional ethics, salon management, proper application of chemicals for relaxing hair, reception, client care, sanitation and sterilization among others. At the end of the examination, Mrs. Christiana Okine, president of the Greater Accra branch of the association, advised the candidates not to be complacent with the knowledge acquired, but to continue learning to enable them to stay abreast of time.
