Tamale MCE Cracked At NDC Boys Threats

The Tamale mayor Hon. Hanan Gundaadow has beaten a cowardly retreat to sack activists of the ruling party from encroaching on the land of a new assembly structure stagnating the building of a wall around the structure.

The MCE yesterday allegedly sanctioned an armed military attack on the camp of the Tohazie Boys located in the premises of the newly constructed Assembly Block to forcibly move the youth who had resolved not to vacate the premises

The military in a Rambo style stormed the premises and after chasing the Boys away broke their sitting wooden benches and NDC billboards

The Tohazie Boys after the violent incident issued a stern warning to deal roundly with the MCE who they accused of being behind their attack

Secretary of the group Mr. Zakiu told Peacefmonline.com "We know where he is heading towards, we know why he sacked us, he was trying to use us for his dubious means and we refused but what he has done he shouldn't think that is end even if he is no more an MCE I swear God we will pay him back not today not tomorrow"

Peacefmonline.com leant as a result of their strong ominous caveat the Tamale Mayor cracked like an egg and made a hasty turnaround to halt the ejection of the Boys

The MCE in the company of his officials early this morning visited the camp and offered an unqualified apology to the Boys and conceded he made an unpardonable mistake by ordering their sack

Hon. Gundaadow is reported to had assured the Boys of compensation after groveling to be forgiven

The Tamale Metropolitan Assembly had earlier stated that the presence of the Boys was impeding on the work of the contractor building a wall around the structure

Several appeals according to the Assembly to get the Boys vacate the place had been futile hence the the Mayor's decision to move them by military force

But in a very sharp turn of incidents Wednesday morning, the MCE ordered the military men who had provided 24hr security to leave the area and in an unwilling manner asked the Tohazie Boys to return to the place

Some of the Boys who spoke to Peacefmonline.com confirmed the presence of the mayor

"Now everything is normal. The MCE himself came here and apologized. We were spoken to since yesterday when we started the confusion. The NDC regional Secretary and some respected people also intervened if not yesterday what we planned was not good, this morning you will have heard something bad but since he came and apologized, we too have stop"

The Boys said their problem with the mayor was that he didn't give them enough time to leave the place and that the invasion wasn't done with human face

When we visited the place, part of the wall built was broken down to curve a path for the Boys to have access into the 'camp'
