TV Africa Boss Enskined Chief

CHIEF EXECUTIVE Officer of Television Africa, Mr. Kwaw Paintsil Ansah and his daughter, Gyesiwaa Paintsil-Ansah have been enskined as the Kanyiti-Wura and Gbanye-Chibi Wurche respectively of tge Wasipe area for their enormous contribution to projecting and maintaining the cultural heritage of Africa.

The two titles, Kanyiti-Wura (chief of patience) and Gbanye-Chibi Wurche (queen mother of smock), were conferred on the two Guan dignitaries on Tuesday.

At a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of Television Africa in Accra to enskin them, the two were encouraged to project peace and order in the Wasipe area, as well as promote the wearing of smock internationally.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the Wasipe Wura, Mumuni Abani, the paramount chief of Wasipe Traditional area, Kabagsewura Iddrisu acknowledged Mr. Ansah for his efforts in projecting peace among the people of Wasipe and the Guan family as a whole.

“We are proud of you, Mr. Ansah Kwaw and your contributions to the culture in Africa; with great patience you have achieved a lot, hence, our decision to enskin you as Kanyitiwura.” He stated.

He further congratulated Madam Gyesiwaa Ansah on the honour bestowed on her following the marketing of the Gbanye-Chibi, popularly known as the Fugu, which has for years been faced with marketing challenges.

“I call on all well-meaning Ghanaians and investors to visit Wasipe traditional area to take advantage of the many investment opportunities ranging from agriculture, artifact, tourism and many others.”
