Mr. Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South, has commended teachers for their contribution to the promotion of education in the area.
He urged parents to support and encourage teachers to enable them to continue to offer selfless and dedicated services.
Mr. Ampofo-Twumasi, who was addressing staff of Nkoranza District Directorate of Education, paid tribute to teachers serving in deprived communities and urged such communities to support them so they would
redouble efforts to help improve the abysmal performance of students in such areas.
The Rev Kubi Asuamah Yeboah, Deputy District Director of Education, commended the MP for spearheading the construction of an office accommodation for the directorate.
He said lack of a substantive District Director of Education was a major challenge that faced the directorate.
