Must I Be Redundant Because My Brother Is President?

The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama has pointed out that petty and partisan politics will destroy the country.

He says the society is so set against each other that, we prefer foreigners to be awarded contracts rather than indigenous businessmen who have capacity to execute specific jobs.
He was speaking on Okay FM Wednesday to react to claims he has his hands deep in the controversial power contract the Government of Ghana has signed with the Ameri Power Group.

While denying any deals whatsoever with the Group, he said his only closest link to the transaction is a contract awarded his company, Engineers and Planners, to construct the platform to host the barge.

And rather than Ghanaians seeking the welfare of each other, he said people are only interested to know if, as a brother of the President of Ghana, he was part of the deal just so they could vilify him, and asked if people expected him to fold his arms and be redundant just because his brother is the president.
