NPP Has No Time For 'Celebrities' - Karbo

"The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no time for celebrities so those seeking fame should audition for either "X-Factor or Ghana Got Talent".

This is a response from a deputy Communications Director, Anthony Karbo to suspended party Chairman, who was seeking to place an injunction on the party’s extra-ordinary congress.

Paul Afoko filed a suit at the High Court to stop the party from discussing matters relating to his position at Saturday’s congress.

But the court threw out the case after the defendants [NPP lawyers] argued that the party has no agenda to remove him at the congress.

Speaking on Asempa FM Friday, Anthony Karbo maintained that a position in the NPP is not a chieftaincy title thus holders must subject themselves to party rules and regulations.

“Some people want the NPP to serve them instead of serving the party but we the servants are not prepared to serve them. NPP is a political organization so you can leave if you are fed up with party work,” he stressed.

The aspiring parliamentary candidate for Lawra in the Upper West Region predicted that the decision by the embattled chairman to seek legal redress will be an exercise in futility.
