Nana Addo Led A Delegation To Sunyani Chiefs Despite Earlier Claims That Chiefs Have Rejected Him
NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has led a delegation to interact with the chiefs of Sunyani ahead of the party’s extraordinary National Delegates’ Conference.
An aide to Nana Addo, Mr. Iddrisu Musah Superior told Citi FM that – earlier claims that the chiefs have rejected Nana Addo was a mere propaganda - perhaps from their opponents.
“Nana led a strong delegation to the chief and they had a fruitful discussion” he said
However reports from the Sunyani had indicated that the Sunyani Traditional Council has rejected a planned visit of the NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to the Paramount Chief of the area.
The Reasons is because tension between the party and the traditional council started after the Omanhene, Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri was criticized by the NPP for openly declaring support for President John Mahama during his tour of the region.
