Sammy Awuku, National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asked Ex-Presidents J.A Kufour and J.J Rawlings to authorize the removal of their pictures on the rebranded Metro Mass Transport buses.

According to Sammy Awuku, the Ex-Presidents should not allow their faces to be associated with the Mahama administration's shortchanging of Ghanaians.

He accused the government of looting state coffers to rebrand the buses.

“I want to make a passionate appeal on behalf of the youth of Ghana to former President Kufour and former President Rawlings not to allow for their pictures to be pasted on the ‘Kronoo Wo Krom’ buses, to wit there’s stealing in town. You shouldn’t let them print your pictures on the buses. The buses are called “Kronoo Wo Krom” because we’ve have been shortchanged,” he said.

To him, the rebranding is simply a waste of resources.

He said on Peace FM's Kokrokoo that there are pressing needs on the hearts of Ghanaians that the money spent on rebranding buses could have been channeled into, to better the lives of Ghanaians.
