All Set For Amakye Dede Live In Concert

COME Saturday, January 2, 2016, patrons of Ghanaian highlife music will once again witness another historic musical concert dubbed, “Amakye Dede Live In Concert” at the Abrantie Spot, Lapaz in Accra.

The artistes who are expected to set the stage on fire with good highlife tunes include the legendary Amakye Dede, the ‘Bantama Kwesi Boakye’ hitmaker, Kofi B and the man with the silky voice – Kofi Nti.

The High Kings Entertainment, organisers of a musical bash, have promised highlife music fans that the event would be full of fun and excitement as there would be hot performances from all the musicians on the bill.

According to the organisers, music lovers and fans of Abrantie, Kofi B and Kofi Nti should expect a fun-packed night. The concert is scheduled to kick off at 8pm.

Amakye Dede, aka Abrantie, an evergreen highlife musician who is the headline artiste, will take the stage to do what he does best – and that is to entertain.

Musicians like Kofi B and Kofi Nti will seek to unseat the Seeerious Amakye Dede in his own territory on Saturday. Abrantie is noted for his supreme and enticing stage craft that gets his audience asking for more anytime he performs.

He told Beatwaves yesterday that he is ready to unleash an extraordinary performance on the night.

According to Amakye Dede, Ghanaians, particularly his fans, had shown him exceeding love and he is out to appreciate all that they had done for him. He is out to last the entire programme, unlike those occasions when he featured on other programmes and therefore played for only 15 or 20 minutes.

He stressed that he loves his fans so much that he did not want to disappoint them, adding that he would perform all his hit songs, including those on his upcoming  album.

Abrantie, whose live musical performances have won the hearts of many music lovers, hinted that on Saturday he would treat the audience to an unforgettable performance.

A source close to Kofi B told Beatwaves that he was going to challenge one of his own idols – Amakye Dede – on stage to a level that would be very difficult for him to reach; and as for Kofi Nti, he would make sure that Abrantie pants for breath because he wants to be crowned the highlife king after the show.
