New Political Party Emerge Ahead Of 2016

Ahead of the crucial 2016 general elections, a new political party has emerged with a promise to unite all Ghanaians and offer quality leadership as an alternative to the mode of governance we have been experiencing.

The new party, United Democratic Party (UDP) has been given a provisional certificate by the Electoral Commission (EC) and already has its head office at Dzorwulu, in Accra, close to the Perez Dome.

It has on its emblem, green and white colors with a handshake at the centre as the logo.

The party, which will soon start full campaign after receiving the final certification from EC, is being founded by businessman, Chief Dr. Yaw Kumey. He is the owner and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Y Kumey International Limited, with several holdings.

When contacted, Chief Dr. Yaw Kumey, described as a very successful businessman, confirmed the formation of the UDP. He stated that, “the winner takes all style of governance is a problem in Africa and does not move a country forward. UDP as a political party would work together with other professionals from all political parties to build a better Ghana.”

According to him, UDP is poised to offer quality and all inclusive governance to Ghanaians.

In his New Year message, the Founder and leader of UDP said the people of Ghana should remain patient and peaceful, because an alternative party with a united front is being formed to strengthen the nation’s democratic credentials.

He promised to outdoor the party soon.
