Highlife musician Amakye Dede who was involved in a near fatal accident on New Year’s Day has been transferred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for further treatment.

The ace musician narrowly escaped death when a Splinter bus rammed into his vehicle at Paradise Hotel, near Bonsu Junction in the Eastern region where he was billed to perform.

According to Dr. Kofi Yeboah, the medical superintendent at the HAWA Memorial Saviour Hospital at Osiem, the highlife legend sustained multiple facial abrasions and lacerations.

He however added that, Amakye Dede is out of danger hence his transfer to Accra for further treatment.

But tragically, his manager, long time friend and editor of the P&P entertainment newspaper, Isaac Yeboah died on the spot.

Amakye’s bodyguard is also in critical condition and has also been transferred to the 37 Military Hospital, sponsored by a philanthropist.

The body of the deceased has also been deposited at the Enyeresi government hospital morgue.
