Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, Joshua Akamba has lambasted “greedy big men” within the NDC government.

The Deputy Organizer who was the guest speaker at a party programme organized by the Oforikrom Youth wing of the NDC in Kumasi did not mince words when he revealed that the NDC has lost its values. “We don’t value the truth anymore”, he said angrily, adding “courageous people who speak the truth will not be called up for programmes”.

He was angry with party bigwigs who were taking sumptuous contracts and resources and left the youth of the party to “rot” in their joblessness and poverty.

“The sad part of it is that you sit down and watch whiles so called big men take money and contracts that should
come to you. They are greedy people and what they take is taken on your behalf”, he lamented adding that “the so-called big men are doing very nasty things and because of that they can’t talk for you. So that when through and through party soldier like Yammin is removed from office, there is no one to speak for him.”

Amidst heavy applause and emotion from the NDC youth, Mr. Akamba wondered why the NDC government would lift a soldier like Joseph Yammin and drop him the way he has been treated. “Look at how they lifted Joseph Yammin; a poor young man and dropped him to the ground. Is that what the NDC is made of?"

“They appoint people you have never seen in the party and when you need help, they don’t even know you. they ask you “who are you?”

He said the time had come for the youth of the party and those who toil to win victory for the party to also benefit from the party whiles it is still in power.

He urged the youth not to give up on the party since time of their redemption is near and “God will punish all the greedy men who have let them down."
