Ablakwa Defends Nana Aba Anamoah

The Deputy Minister in charge of tertiary education, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa has described as ‘intelligent’ the question asked by ace broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah.

Nana Aba Anamoah became the subject of criticism again on Social media after he asked President John Dramani Mahama a question at the recently held press conference at the Flagstaff House.

Nana Aba at the Press Conference said: “Good afternoon, Mr President and Happy New Year to you… I want to know from you, since your assumption of office, what you have done to reduce pressure on you…. on the Presidency, because if any prominent person dies in this country, they call on the President… a business delegation calls on the President. Anything at all, the President is referred to. What have you done to reduce the pressure on yourself to concentrate on the things you find important, and what keeps you awake at night?”

However, some Ghanaians on social media described her question as pedestrian and unnecessary.

But the deputy minister who also doubles as a Member of Parliament for North Tongu, speaking in a panel discussion on Radio Gold said he ‘thought that was an intelligent question.’

He does not understand the rant on social media when Nana Aba just wanted to bring a ‘change in the kind of questions’ that were being asked.

“I did not see anything wrong in the question she asked…I thought that was an intelligent question….” He mentioned.
