Have Confidence In Me

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo- Dankwa Akufo- Addo, has appealed to all Ghanaians to have confidence in him and vote him to power in the 2016 general election.

He said when he and the Party are given the mandate, he would make sure that the nation’s resources would not only be in safe hands, but also harnessed to the full benefit of all Ghanaians.

Speaking at a fundraising rally held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi at the weekend, Nana Akufo-Addo said, “we will not make it family matters but an inclusive government” to ensure the proper socio-economic development of the country.

Citing the administration of President Alhassane Ouattara of La Cote D’Ivoire, he said, the President after five years of confusion had been able to stabilize the country through good economic policies.
The country, he said, was growing and employment was also booming with good governance.

Nana Akufo-Addo, clad in full white gear and with cheers from the teeming NPP faithful, asked Ghanaians to give him the chance to do the same in the country.
Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia, the NPP Presidential Running Mate, was optimistic that the NPP would win the elections, and would create jobs for the people.

Ghana under an NPP administration, he said, would restore the Nursing and Teacher Training allowances.
In addition, the Party through sound policies would ensure that the District Assemblies Common Fund and the National Health Insurance Scheme would no longer be in arrears.

Mr. Freddie Blay, the acting NPP National Chairman, said the ruling National Democratic Congress “will fall to the NPP in this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections”.

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, said, “everybody is crying, and their hope is in the NPP to redeem them”, noting that as a result, the Party could not afford to fail the people.

Madam Elizabeth Agyemang, Member of Parliament for Oforikrom, stressed the need for Party members to close their ranks and work hard to bring the Party to power.

Hajia Zinabu, Ashanti Regional Treasurer of the Party, urged the party to contribute financially to the Party to enable the NPP be in a good financial position to campaign effectively to wrest power from the ruling NDC.
